Birth | Vosloo Twins
“ Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made and forgot to put a soul into. – Henry Ward Beecher
Meet two little flowers that God did not forget to add beautiful souls to! Louisa and Fleur Volsoo!

As many births go this was a little “unplanned” welcoming of the girls at only 36 weeks (see their maternity session HERE only 2 days earlier), but the smaller one of the two had a little trouble. (I think her sister ate all her food 😉 )   As we discussed some admin the night before the birth, one of the questions was if they have decided which little girl is going to be named Fleur and which Louisa. The first born will be Louisa, it should be the smaller one and the second one will be named Fleur. (Because of the girls positioning they could make an educated guess which will be born first) It’s exactly how it happened, little Lulu were born screaming, strong and fierce. “Renowned worrier” that’s the meaning of this little fighters name. Perfect don’t you think? Fleur was born a little quieter, more delicate, exactly as her name describes a “flower”. Louisa gets her name from her Great Grand Mother Louisa or Lulu and Fleur is a beautiful name that both Anecia and Gerhard liked. Only later did they discover that both these names have a connection to flower. Identical twins with the same name!

What are the odds of these girls given these names purely by chance, I think not! It makes me think of Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart” as well as Isaiah 43:1 “…I have called you by name, you are mine”

Be blessed little flowers! I look forward to witness how you grow and bloom into the persons you were born to be!

xXx
Sam
”Twice as much to love, two blessings from above.” – Unknown
It’s a personal blog, again, because their family 🙂 Meet the Britz twins, Gerhard & HJ and their beautiful big sister Skyra. If you missed the twins birth I posted last week, you can have a look here.

These are the gorgeous kids of my baby brother and sister in-law, which by the way, got married exactly 2 years ago today. And yes, I did those pictures as well 😉 Here is a link to their wedding pictures.

Twice as much to love …. , these two will never not know love. Their parents adore them, big sister is still a little sceptical but I’m sure she will get there, not to mention their grandparents, aunts, uncle and all the little cousins are totally in love with them.

Twice as much love, laughter, giggles, hope, blessings, prayers and all things good from above! That’s my wish for these little boys. May you always know our Lord, your Creator. May you always know that you are family and that we stick together. May you always know love. May you always know laughter and happiness and may you always be blessed!

And yes may you be twice as naughty just to get back at my baby brother!

Love you to the moon and back. All of you!
”God touched our hearts so deep inside, our special blessing multiplied ~Author Unknown
Indeed did He touch our hearts and bless us with our twins. Yes I call them “our” because this is the birth story of my baby brother’s twins. As all babies in our family, they are born to the family 🙂 Very rarely are they just born to their parents 😉 Making us one huge family with tons of kids to try and raise, but I like it that way.

To me all births are magical and special, but to be present at one of your own,  just adds another dimension to the incredible story of birth. These 2 were a little eager, born at 35 weeks but they were both a good weight at 2.36 and 2.39 kg’s. They initially struggled to breath and was taken to ICU immediately after birth, but true to their fighting spirits they only spend a couple of days there.

You can view a copy of their birth slide show here

We are truly blessed to have these twins and thank God everyday for the path he has chosen for our family to walk.

Love you all to much!!!!

Newborn | Twins Sophia & Gerhard
”From the fullness of His grace, we all received one blessing after another” – John 1:16
One baby is a miracle, but 2 is just a very special gift from God.

Meet little Sophia and her brother Gerhard. Sophia is the inquisitive one and very interested in everything I do. Gerhard on the other hand is totally relaxed, just chilling with his hand behind his head in most of the pictures 🙂

Natasha, I just have to share how powerful and generous our Creator is. These two were send from God with a special plan.
Natasha had a ectopic pregnancy (that’s when the baby grows inside the fallopian tube) and in the process lost one of her overies. This making it very difficult but not impossible to conceive.  Trying for a while and nothing happening the next step was a fertility specialist. On the day of the appointment with the specialist Natasha hopped into the pharmacy and for some unknown reason bought a pregnancy test.
And you guessed it. Positive! A few weeks later they heard 2 heart beats!
No fertility treatment, no doctors and no twins in either families! Just the grace of God!

Natasha and Gerhard, enjoy your miracles. May you both and they always no the grace and love of God in this exciting journey called parenthood.

xXx
Sam
