I am blessed to be a regular witness to the Böhmer family’s priceless memories, as I capture birthdays, pregnancies, and the first precious moments (Fresh 48) as they welcome their children to the world. Working with Linda and Dietmar is always wonderful – I love helping to bring Linda’s vision to life in a way that the whole family will love.

Most recently, I was invited to capture the first moments after the birth of Linda and Dietmar’s second child, their beautiful son Luca. These types of sessions are more commonly know as Fresh 48 Sessions.

The family arrived, bearing gifts and an excited big brother, David, as Luca and Linda were whisked away to their own recovery areas – Luca to an incubator to be warmed, and Linda to her room for recovery. Dietmar watched over his new son until it was time to take him to his mom, who could not have been happier to hold Luca in her arms.

The delighted family – Mom, Dad, grandparents and big brother – shared precious time together on Luca’s first day. David was introduced to his little brother and stepped straight into his big brother role, trying to share his brand new tool set with Luca.

Watching and snapping away as the family talked, played, laughed and bonded, I could feel the love in the room, which translated perfectly into pictures. Each shot, to me, radiates joy – just like the Böhmer family.
