Birth | Welcoming Adeline Bryant | Pretoria Birth Photographer
“I never regret anything. Because every little detail of your life is what made you into who you are in the end.”
I didn’t want to be bed-bound for hours after birth, I wanted to deliver her and then spend all the time in the world with her, skin-to-skin.

“In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity” – Lauren Daigle (You Say)
Jolene and Martin welcomed their first child to the world after almost two full days of labour. Little Daniël gave his mom a run for her money, but she pushed through with the loving support of Martin her husband, and with the strength of their combined faith in God. In the end, their newborn son was the perfect blessing she knew he would be.
Birth | Jaden Pienaar
“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” Romans 8:28 (Amp)
Elmain Pienaar defines strength in adversity. When she was faced with a very scary choice to make – stick to the natural home birth she had dreamed of, or go to the hospital – she did what any good mom would, and put her child’s safety ahead of her own wishes.
Birth | Wian-Roux Moolman
“It takes a village” includes the network of relationships and values that connect us and bind us together”
Having babies and raising them, takes a team. As the proverb goes, “It takes a village”. The Moolman family took this to heart when grandma and husband, Francois, gathered to cheer on the birth of Wian-Roux. Francois’s parents joined the family a little later, to say hello to their new flame-haired grandson. The whole family prayed over this little boy, and their loving prayers showed when he was brought into the world.
Birth | Gertjan Holtzhausen
Sometimes a mother is lucky. Sometimes, despite doubts and minor setbacks, the birth goes smoothly – almost exactly as planned. So it was when the Holtzhausen family welcomed Gertjan into the world, their second child, and second unicorn birth. With Gran, Aunt and Big Sis standing by to meet him, and Dad lending a well-practiced hand, as he had with their firstborn, Gertjan’s birth was a truly special family moment.

“You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice.” – Bob Marley
Birth almost never go according to plan. Leanne had a totally different plan for her daughters birth but unlike my previous post her birth didn’t change . . .
