I have my amazing husband and our beautiful son and all three of us are safe and together. I am surrounded by love and care – amazing healers stand around me as I receive the news. I’m overwhelmed with appreciation. I feel nothing but gratitude and love.

Jolene and Martin welcomed their first child to the world after almost two full days of labour. Little Daniël gave his mom a run for her money, but she pushed through with the loving support of Martin her husband, and with the strength of their combined faith in God. In the end, their newborn son was the perfect blessing she knew he would be.

The Finley family walked an amazing and inspiring journey, from dealing with the crushing news of infertility, to three perfect and unforced births. Their third child, daughter Lana, was born into a happy, loving family, completing her parents’ journey with a final sense of peace.

Elmain Pienaar defines strength in adversity. When she was faced with a very scary choice to make – stick to the natural home birth she had dreamed of, or go to the hospital – she did what any good mom would, and put her child’s safety ahead of her own wishes.

As we are preparing for the birth of our children, most of us have very set ideas or plans for these sacred moments. Most of us don’t like change and almost all of us hate it when things don’t go the way WE planned.

I never looked for a midwife or water birth, but I think God placed her right on my path. My heart needed this birth more than I knew. I wanted to deliver this baby naturally and I got just that.
